Alright, so I didnt get around to do this Saturday because of work but it is now complete on all 5 skins.

I wont be available until the end of next week to accept change requests, thats kind of why I asked you to test it out first.

Finally got some time to get this finished. I've also added Attachments and the multi colored group indicators on the bottom of main forum view.
Shout counts are of both old and new shoutbox (your total since you joined [minus deleted ones]).

-Shoutbox doesnt auto delete anymore either!
-Moderators DO NOT have the option of pruning the shoutbox as all would be lost if it were an accident.

-If you hover over a members' shout count (under thier avatar) i've included the breakdown of old vs new shouts.

-I've also edited the archive page to reflect 2010+ shouts only.


Lee, wtfbbq! you're the only person to report this, could you elaborate as the the issue? Also please post what browser and color of skin your using when the problem exists.

I just noticed that my "Friends" in my profile is RJ Mancia...I never put him on my friend list...and the others that i had on there are gone. I'm using Dark Visual Depth.

hmm, i have no idea how this happened, maybe there's a chance you were editing your profile at the time i ran a task?

If you pm me your friends, i should be able to manually input their ids into your line in our database. I've not looked into it but it should work in theory.

Well, I gotta open this back up.

Steve, apparently got some free time and decided to help out with the Shoutbox problem without knowing we had it covered I suppose.

He merged the old "historical" pre-2010 DB with the new one and did some coding to count the shouts for easier recall and counting.

This means I have to do a TON of editing that I really dont have time for... the history has been altered to reflect the new database only and the thread view postbits (under avatar) where it says shout count, this has to be changed as well ---- on each skin.

Since I cannot write scripts to do it, its gonna have to wait until after summer.
So if people start complaining about their shoutcounts, I would like you guys to help explain the situation plz.

There is no time for me to fix this, It will need to wait a few months. The easiest solution would be to remove the added merged shouts from the new database but that too will take a bit to sort out.

Since I never heard any updates on this, I assumed you still wanted it done. Not sure why you would want to run the shout box off two tables, but whatever...

I didn't mean to make just a huge problem for you... I deleted everything and put it back the way it was, so all is back to normal with the exception of the day I lost writing codes and scripts to convert everything.

In the future, please do not contact me for any coding or scripting help... I've got enough on my plate that I don't need to be wasting time writing scripts that aren't needed.

I believe you must have taken this post the wrong way, I had a pm I typed up at the same time for you but the laptop died and I just now am able to get back online.

I'm sure if the pm had went through, you wouldnt have freaked out when reading the post. I was simply trying to explain to the members who care about this thread, that since the changes have happened, there will be discrepencies until the time comes that I can fix what I've done and since I just kinda stayed up a couple days editing, I really dont remember off hand where everything is or else I could complete it in the next couple nights.
I did call Kristina to see if she could check it out when I got the PM texts (I was in Wisconsin), I feared the merging of the two would cause the new shoutbox software to delay as the old did but appearantly it does not and it must be something to do with the stuff you removed from the old DB.

It was really not meant to be offensive I mearly figured you developed free time and decided to help. All really is good, but if you still feel upset and disrespected, I can understand and will respect your wishes to avoid future contact regarding coding.
